Our client is a fast-growing AI software development startup seeking a Chief of Staff to the Chief Strategy Officer to serve as a force multiplier across the company's highest-priority strategic initiatives — operating at the intersection of strategy, planning, new vertical development, and business development and partnerships.
This is a high-impact, high-visibility role for someone who thrives in ambiguity, thinks strategically, and executes relentlessly — with a front-row seat to company-level decision making.
What You'll Do
Partner closely with the CSO to define, prioritize, and drive the company's strategic roadmap
Translate high-level strategy into clear plans, goals, and execution frameworks
Lead strategic planning processes including annual planning, quarterly priorities, and executive reviews
Track progress against strategic initiatives and proactively surface risks, tradeoffs, and recommendations
Support the evaluation, launch, and scaling of new product lines and market verticals
Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and financial modeling to inform GTM decisions
Serve as the connective tissue between strategy, product, and go-to-market teams
Prepare high-quality materials for executive meetings, board discussions, and external stakeholders
Step in as owner and operator on critical initiatives as needed
Attract top-tier talent to join the team
Key Requirements
5–10 years in strategy consulting, investment banking, and strategic ops at a high-growth startup
2+ years in management consulting or investment banking
2+ years as an operator at a startup — Chief of Staff, strategy, or special projects
Demonstrated promotion or career progression at a single company
STEM, business, economics, or finance degree from a top university
MBA from a top program preferred
Strong financial modeling, market research, and structured problem-solving skills
Cross-functional executive stakeholder management without supervision
Founding experience a plus
